Bethesda will bring RAGE 2, DOOM Eternal, Wolfenstein and Fallout 76 to Steam

Amid all of the recent drama surrounding the Epic Games Store and its exclusive games strategy, a few companies have put their weight behind Steam. First, Microsoft announced that the Halo Master Chief Collection would arrive on the platform, now, Bethesda is announcing that it will be bringing Fallout 76, DOOM Eternal and Rage 2 to Steam this year.

Initially, it looked like Bethesda was planning on keeping its future games exclusive to Bethesda.net, the studio's own launcher. Now, those plans have changed. In a move that was bound to strike up some good PR, Bethesda has announced that Fallout 76, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, DOOM Eternal and Rage 2 will all release on Steam.

In the case of Fallout 76, that game will be arriving on Steam later this year. Timing-wise, we can likely expect this move following a major content update, drumming up good will among veteran players and giving the game a second chance at life with a different pool of customers.

KitGuru Says: Bethesda has suffered in the public eye following Fallout 76, so this appears to be a move to get back into the good books of PC gamers. Still, it is nice to know that I'll be able to put DOOM Eternal in my Steam library this year.
