While it’s all but certain that Apple’s 2019 line-up of iPhones will stick with the Lightning Cable over USB-C, not much else is known about the upcoming smartphones. Industry insiders expected an iterative upgrade to the firm’s current range; however new reports are suggesting that all models will sport a triple rear camera setup with Apple’s biggest sensors to date.
The first report comes from the relatively reliable Macotakara, a Japanese publication that was among the first to break the news of Apple dropping the 3.5mm headphone jack. Citing one of Apple’s Chinese supply chains as its source, via 9to5Mac, the report suggests that two new models would accompany the tentatively titled iPhone XI series, each with an OLED screen and built to house a triple rear camera system.
The 6.1-inch OLED display model is said to be 0.15mm thicker than the iPhone XS, but the camera bump has supposedly been reduced by 0.5mm to better fit in the palm of the user’s hand. The reason for this shift is to better contain what is said to be the iPhone’s largest sensor to date, improving photography at the hardware level. Due to this, the larger 6.5-inch OLED model is said to be 0.4mm thicker than current offerings, with the bump trimmed back 0.25mm.
You can't imagine how many times ppl replied "all current rumors contradicts you" following a leak I shared nd which has finally been proven accurate…? But again, it comes from a yet unconfirmed source so yeah, better wait my own trusted sources to confirm or refute that…?

This is quite a stretch from previous suggestions that Apple would simply evolve its current 6.1-inch LCD iPhone XR, 5.8-inch OLED iPhone XS and 6.5-inch OLED iPhone XS Max. Fortunately, increasingly bezel-less screens are said to help the devices remain around the same size as models currently on the market.
Both rumoured handsets are believed to feature reverse wireless charging in order to benefit accessories like the Apple Watch and AirPods with their charging case, shipping with the usual Apple 18W USB charger and USB-C to Lightning cable.
These reports remain unconfirmed for the time being and aren’t likely to be proven true or false until Apple begins officially teasing the devices later in the year. In the best case scenario, the company has more in store than experts are expecting, potentially making the triple rear camera setup available to all models, according to an unconfirmed source speaking with OnLeaks. Alternatively, the worst case would see yet another iPhone X iteration make its way to market.
KitGuru Says: Given that the iPhone XS series alone was an iterative upgrade that sold below expectations, it doesn’t surprise me that Apple might want to step things up a notch. What features would the 2019 iPhone series have to contain to make you upgrade to a new device?
