Anthem is getting a public test server on PC to gather feedback on future updates

Earlier this week we learned that BioWare was pushing back some of its bigger content/feature updates for Anthem in order to focus on other fixes. To better ensure that new updates are stable, the studio will be launching a public test server for PC players, a common tactic used by other successful games, including Overwatch, The Division and Rainbow Six Siege just to name a few.

As part of an update post on Reddit, BioWare wrote: “There are so many factors that can cause us to pivot on our plans – whether it’s bugs & stability issues, player feedback, or complications with a feature that require us to take more time to deliver it. Our goal is to tell you about new content and features once the work is closer to being done.”

BioWare won't be talking about its update plans as early as it has been up to this point. However, the studio will be launching a ‘Player Feedback Environment', which will give dedicated PC players a chance to test out major features before they begin rolling out to the wider player base.

Hopefully this means that BioWare will begin testing new loot systems, as this continues to be one of the biggest gripes players have with the game. It will be impossible to make everyone happy but getting direct feedback from dedicated players before new updates go live should go a long way towards improving Anthem in the long run.

KitGuru Says: At the moment, test servers will be limited to PC only, which isn't uncommon. From the sounds of it though, BioWare does want to implement test servers for console players too. Are many of you still playing Anthem at all?
