Computex 2019: Thermaltake Tough RAM, A700 aluminium chassis and new gaming chairs

Computex 2019 is well under way at this point but there are still plenty of new announcements left to look forward to. Today, Thermaltake enters the spotlight, showcasing a new A700 aluminium chassis, new non-watercooled RAM options and a new gaming chair to add to the list.

We'll start off with the new A700 chassis, a full tower case joining Thermaltake's popular A-series family. The A700 is the bigger brother to the A500 mid-tower, bringing a full-tower design into the lineup for enthusiasts that need more space for their hardware. The A700 is built with aluminium, which seamlessly bends around the outside of the case from front to back. It also comes with a large tempered glass window, giving a good view of the build inside.

Since this is a full-tower case, it supports all motherboard sizes up to E-ATX. The built-in PSU cover will also help you hide cables and keep things looking clean. Dust filters are also provided at the top, bottom and front of the case. For cooling, the A700 can house up to three 140mm fans in the front, or two 200mm fans on top of a 420mm radiator for liquid cooling. We have Leo on the ground at Computex this week so we'll hopefully get to see this up close on camera soon.

Last year, Thermaltake entered the memory market with WaterRAM, providing water-cooled memory dimms to the masses. This year, Thermaltake is expanding its RAM offerings with non water-cooled versions using chips from Samsung and SK Hynix. As you would expect, RGB lighting is included, which can all be controlled via Thermaltake's RGB Plus software suite, which houses support for plenty of non-TT branded RGB products too.

Thermaltake's Tough RAM uses a 10-layer PCB and pre-binned memory ICs to ensure performance and good response times.

Finally, Thermaltake's Gaming Gear lineup is getting two new additions this year. The XC500 and XF100 gaming chairs both use real leather and an ergonomic design to improve back support and decrease fatigue. Both use 75kg denser foam padding and a multi-function tilt mechanism with a lock, so you can adjust your position easily and lock the chair in place once you are comfortable.

Both chairs will be available in Burgundy Red. We don't know about future colour options at this time but hopefully we'll hear more on that soon. In one of the images above, you can see the chair sitting alongside Thermaltake's new motorised gaming desk, which we first caught wind of a few weeks ago.

KitGuru Says: There is some good stuff on show from Thermaltake this week. We'll be looking forward to taking a closer look at all of it in the future.
