As PC enthusiasts, many of us here take pride in our overall setups and getting a nice desk is usually a big part of that. Over the last year, we have seen companies like Sharkoon and Aerocool showing off their own custom desk designs. Now, Thermaltake is joining the club with the launch of the Level 20 RGB BattleStation desk.
We got our first look at Thermaltake's RGB-clad desk at Computex 2018. The Level 20 RGB BattleStation is an electric, height-adjustable desk designed with a full mousepad surface and controllable RGB lighting strips all around the perimeter. The RGB strips can also sync up with other TT RGB PLUS rated products, which is supported by a range of cases, RAM modules, peripherals and other pieces of hardware.
The smart controller panel on the desk allows users to set up to four height memory settings, so you can automatically switch between them at the press of a button. This is particularly useful if you would like to switch between standing and sitting. Height can adjust between 70cm and 110cm.
Since this is a height adjustable desk, there is a maximum weight limit, although it is a generous 150kg, which should be more than enough to support a gaming tower and a few monitors. The full surface of the desk acts as a coarse-textured mouse pad, and an included cable management tray will help you keep things clean and tidy.
Unfortunately, there is a downside here- the price. Thermaltake's Level 20 RGB BattleStation gaming desk comes in at a whopping $1,199.99.
KitGuru Says: I've always wanted to get an electric height adjustable desk but more often than not, they are very expensive. Still, there will be someone out there fortunate enough to be able to afford one of these. In terms of overall features, it does appear to be very good.
