Nvidia is bundling Shadow of the Tomb Raider with remaining GTX 10-series GPUs

While much of our focus has moved on to the RTX 20 series in recent months, the GTX 10-series of graphics cards still hold their own today and remain a good option for those looking to upgrade. If you are considering an older GTX 10-series GPU, laptop or pre-built PC, then Nvidia will sweeten the deal with a free copy of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

This may seem like an odd move at first, after all, Nvidia has launched the GTX 16-series and the RTX 20-series of GPUs in the last nine months to replace the likes of the GTX 1060, 1070, 1080 and 1080Ti. However, the mining boom and bust has left plenty of GTX 10 stock still in circulation.

With that in mind, promotions are now falling in to place to shift the remaining GTX 10-series GPUs, which shouldn't be counted out, as they are still very good GPUs today. Those buying a GeForce GTX 1080Ti, GTX 1080, GTX 1070Ti, GTX 1070 or GTX 1070 graphics card, laptop of desktop PC will get a free copy of Shadow of the Tomb Raider to go along with it. The bundle is redeemable via the GeForce Experience app, so once you've got everything set up, you will be able to redeem the game via the drop down menu.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the finale to Square Enix's reboot trilogy, which started off with Tomb Raider (2013) and later expanded to Rise of the Tomb Raider in 2015. Just like the previous games, Shadow of the Tomb Raider is built with PCs in mind, with a highly customisable suite of graphics options that can be tuned for the best possible visuals, or better performance. Of course, Nvidia's own technologies are also supported, including the Ansel screenshot tool and Nvidia Highlights, which automatically records moments of gameplay.

KitGuru Says: Shadow of the Tomb Raider was a good game, so if you were planning on getting a GTX 10-series GPU anyway, then this should be a nice little extra.
