CD Projekt Red will show new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay demo at E3

There are still a lot of questions surrounding Cyberpunk 2077 and exactly how far into development it is. We already knew that the game would reappear at E3 this year but now we have some clarification on exactly what CD Projekt Red’s plan is. In short, we will be getting new gameplay footage but attendees won’t be able to get hands-on with the game themselves.

Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly anticipated games currently announced. Last year’s E3 gameplay demo was very impressive but we’ve heard that a bunch of changes have been made to the game since then, so we should expect things to look a bit different this time around.

During E3 2019, Cyberpunk 2077 will have a hands-off gameplay demonstration run by the developers, repeating the strategy used during E3 2018. However, the gameplay demo will be publicly viewable this time, so if you are attending E3 as a fan, you will be able to go to the booth and watch it for yourself. This also likely means that the demo will be uploaded to YouTube quickly for the rest of us to see.

Recently, CD Projekt Red executives began openly discussing the issue of development crunch as we lead up to the final push for Cyberpunk 2077. We don’t have a release date for the game just yet but rumour has it that we’ll get a 2020 release window during E3 next month.

KitGuru Says: Cyberpunk 2077 looked incredible last year. I’m not expecting another hour-long showcase this time around but hopefully we’ll get to see a bit more of the open-world and some of the other changes made in the last year.
