AverMedia has been targeting streamers and gamers with its portfolio of capture cards, webcams and other accessories, and today at Computex the company announced three new solutions for this target market – a new 4K/60FPS capture, a gaming headset, and an all-in-one streaming package.
Starting with the Live Streamer 311 (BO311), this is essentially an all-in-one starter pack for anyone looking to get into streaming. The bundle consists of AverMedia's Live Gamer Mini capture card, an AM310 USB mic, as well as the Live Streamer CAM 313. We've been told this bundle will cost £219.99 in the UK, with availability expected from July 1st.
Alongside the Live Streamer package, AverMedia also announced a new Live Gamer WAVES 510 (GH510) headset. Sporting 50mm neodymium drivers as well as a detachable noise-cancelling mic, AverMedia says it is targeting ‘gamers and audio enthusiasts alike,' while there is also support for virtual 7.1 surround-sound as well as Hi-Res audio.
Adding to the headset's versatility, there is a choice of 3.5mm or USB connectors, meaning the GH510 can be used across a range of devices. Other features of note include integrated RGB lighting (of course), and rotatable ear cups for easy transportation. We've been told the Live Gamers WAVES 510 has a US MSRP of $129, but are currently waiting for a UK price. Availability will be from 30th September.
Lastly, AverMedia was also showcasing a new external capture card capable of recording up to 4K at 60FPS thanks to its Thunderbolt 3 interface. This is still in the ‘engineering sample stage' so we don't have any photos, but it would definitely be something to look out for in the future.
KitGuru says: AverMedia has doubled down on its gamer/streamer target audience, and packages like the Live Streamer 311 will likely appeal to anyone looking to get into streaming with minimal fuss.
