Larian Studios officially announces Baldur’s Gate 3

Earlier this week, Larian Studios began teasing a new game. It didn't take long were folks to figure out that it was Baldur's Gate 3. Last night, it was all officially confirmed, with Larian Studios announcing the long awaited sequel as part of the Google Stadia Connect stream. This is not a Stadia exclusive though, as it will be available on PC too.

Baldur's Gate 2 came out 19 years ago, so this sequel has been sought after for a long time. Given how great Divinity Original Sin and its sequel both turned out, Larian certainly has the ability to pull this off. You can watch the first trailer for Baldur's Gate 3 below:

We don't have a ton of specific details about the game yet. We know that it is coming to Google Stadia in addition to a traditional PC release at launch. A release date has not been formally announced but Google is touting this as a launch game for Stadia, so it should release before the end of this year.

Larian Studios will be a guest at the PC Gaming Show during E3 next week. We will be hearing more then and hopefully getting a closer look at the actual game.

KitGuru Says: Baldur's Gate 3 is officially happening. Now we just have to sit back and wait for the next batch of details heading our way at E3 in a few days.
