Monster Hunter World is getting DLSS support today

Monster Hunter World is getting some big updates this year, particularly on the PC side of things. Not only have we had some graphical updates and the Witcher 3 crossover event, but DLSS support is also heading to the game soon ahead of the new Iceborne expansion launch.

A few games have added support for Nvidia's Deep Learning Super Sampling technology so far this year. Unfortunately, the visual results can be a bit hit or miss but Nvidia's algorithms should continue to improve over time. With Monster Hunter World, DLSS should boost 4K performance by up to 50 percent, meaning an RTX 2080Ti should average over 70 frames per second, while an RTX 2080 gets close to 60. The RTX 2070 will fall in the 45 frames per second range at 4K, while the RTX 2060 gets around 37 frames per second.

Monster Hunter World's DLSS update will be coming today and the latest GeForce driver already lays the groundwork for it. We don't have performance numbers for non 4K resolutions but hopefully we will get more news on that soon.

We have a full list of games with support or planned support for both ray-tracing and DLSS, which you can find HERE.

KitGuru Says: DLSS has always interested me but it certainly needs some improvement. Hopefully we will start to see some improved visual performance starting with Monster Hunter World. Do many of you own an RTX GPU already? Do you use DLSS when the option is available?
