Power Colour launches Red Devil and Red Dragon custom RX 5700 GPUs

A few days ago, we had the chance to cover the launch of custom AIB versions of the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT. We reviewed the Sapphire Pulse at launch and have known about the ASUS line up for a couple of weeks now. Today, Power Colour is arriving to the party, with several RX 5700 models in tow, including the Red Devil special edition.

Power Colour is launching two versions of the RX 5700 series, the first is the well-known Red Devil variant, while the second is known as Red Dragon. The limited edition RX 5700 XT Red Devil has three 90mm fans spread across a 300mm long cooler with a thick backplate for extra protection. This custom GPU uses a 12-layer PCB design with 10 VRMs and high-polymer caps, setting it up to be one of the ultimate RX 5700 XT custom cards for overclocking.

As usual, the Red Devil series offers a Dual BIOS function. At stock settings, the RX 5700 XT Red Devil is clocked at 1905MHz and boosts up to 2010MHz, while the standard RX 5700 Red Devil is clocked at 1725MHz with a boost up to 1750MHz.

The Power Colour Red Dragon cards use a dual-fan cooler instead, with two 100mm fans, five heat pipes and the same dual-BIOS capabilities as the Red Devil card. One of the key differences here are the out-of-box clock speeds, which come in at 1795MHz with a boost up to 1905MHz for the 5700 XT Red Dragon, and 1720MHz with a boost up to 1750MHz on the standard RX 5700 Red Dragon.

Currently, the Power Colour RX 5700 XT Red Devil is set to cost $439/£449 while the RX 5700 Red Devil will be $389. A limited edition version of the Red Devil RX 5700 XT will be available for $10 more and includes RGB, premium packaging and bundles an RGB mouse pad.

Next week, the Power Colour Red Dragon cards will be made available, although we only have USD pricing for now. The XT will be $409 and the standard RX 5700 will be $359.

KitGuru Says: We have some solid looking cards from Power Colour on the way. We will be reviewing these soon, so keep an eye out.
