The best monitors on Amazon Prime Day

Amazon Prime Day has officially kicked off today and there are already some excellent deals starting to show up. If you are looking for a PC gaming upgrade, then today would be a good day to start shopping around. In this post, we break down the best monitors currently discounted, including 4K, 1440p, 1080p, high refresh rate and Ultrawide options.

ASUS has the best deal of the day with the ASUS ROG Strix XG35VQ. This is a 35-inch 3440×1440 gaming monitor with up to a 100Hz refresh rate, a 1ms response time and FreeSync support, which now works on both AMD and Nvidia GPUs. This monitor sports the biggest discount with 41% off for Prime members, bringing the cost down from £813 to £479.99.

Of course, if ultrawide isn't to your tastes and you want something a bit cheaper, then the ASUS VG278QR is also on sale today for £199.99. This is a 27-inch 1080p monitor with an ultra low 0.5ms response time and 165Hz refresh rate, making it perhaps the best option for competitive gamers who play a lot of shooters.

Next on the list is Acer. If you would rather have a smaller 1080p monitor but maintain a high refresh rate, then the XF240Hbmjdpr is down to £159.99, delivering a 24-inch 1080p display with 1ms response time and 144Hz refresh rate. The Acer VG270UPbmiipx is also available, sporting a 27-inch IPS panel running at 2560×1440 resolution and 144Hz refresh rate for £287.99.

AOC has some good deals up its sleeve too. The AOC AGON AG252UCG6 is down to £559.99, offering a 35-inch ultrawide 3440×1440 panel running at 120Hz. Alternatively, there is the more budget friendly AOC G27P90PX for £189.99, which is a 27-inch 1080p monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate.

For £494.99 you could also nab a BenQ EX3501R, which is another 35-inch Ultrawide monitor running at 100Hz with FreeSync 2 and HDR. The HP Omen is another 24-inch 1080p option, going for £174.99 and offering 144Hz and AMD FreeSync support.

The final two monitors on our list today are more for productivity rather than gaming. The LG 27UK650 is a 27-inch 4K panel with full HDR 10 support and AMD FreeSync, although the refresh rate is limited to 60Hz. This monitor is currently going for £324.99. If you would rather have a 1440p monitor at that size, then the Philips 276E8FJAB is also a good deal, delivering 1440p resolution in a 27-inch IPS panel for £171.99.

KitGuru Says: These are all some solid monitor deals, so let us know if you end up going for any of them. There are other monitor deals also on today but these are the ones that jumped out to us the most. You can find the full list HERE

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
