Ahead of a bigger unveiling planned for San Diego Comic-Con later this month, Netflix has revealed the official poster and first still images of The Witcher characters in costume. Not only does this finally give us a better look at Henry Cavill as Geralt but it also shows us what to expect from Ciri and Yenneffer.
All of the images were tweeted out by Netflix this afternoon. The tagline for the series is “The worst monsters are the ones we create”, which fits in with The Witcher's themes quite well.

Geralt's costume and hair do look better now than they did in the first hair/costume test that was posted last year. The only standout gripe here that I could see being brought up is that Geralt is only carrying one sword, although he may have left the silver sword on his horse saddle, which is something that he did regularly in the books, rather than carrying both on his back as we see in the games. Speaking of horses, here is Geralt riding Roach in the show:

Now all that is left for us to do is wait patiently for Comic-Con to come and go. Hopefully we'll get our first teaser trailer and release date news when the event kicks off later this month.
KitGuru Says: What do you guys think of our first look at The Witcher series? So far, I think the characters are looking quite good, although it is difficult to judge from still images. Hopefully a trailer isn't too far off.
