Following the launch of RAGE 2 in May, id Software director, Tim Willits, announced that he would be parting ways with the company after a 24-year long career. Willits isn’t leaving the gaming industry behind though and has now taken up a new position as the Chief Creative Officer at Saber Interactive.
Saber Interactive’s most recent game would be World War Z, although the company has also created NBA Playgrounds and is currently working with CD Projekt Red on bringing The Witcher 3 to the Nintendo Switch. Saber is a pretty big company, with five studios placed at various locations around the world.

In his new position, Willits will be overseeing all five studios, in addition to whatever new teams sprout up over time. He will help these teams out with their creative vision, ensuring ideas can turn into prototypes and eventually be made into full-fledged games.
It is a fairly big job but with Willits on board, it will be interesting to see what Saber Interactive does next.
KitGuru Says: Saber Interactive might not be as renowned as id Software but perhaps with the right leadership, it could be eventually.
