Computex 2019: be quiet! shows off new Pure Base 500 chassis and Platinum power supplies

This week at Computex, we stopped in for our annual catch up with be quiet!, we've already seen their lineup of new Dark Rock coolers for 2019 but today a few more products were added to the lineup. The main announcement this week is the Pure Base 500 case but we also have two new power supplies to add to the list.

The Pure Base 500 is be quiet!'s entry level case. It is a compact size but has a bunch of useful features in place. The top covers are interchangeable, allowing you to pick between silence or better airflow. There is room to mount a 360mm radiator, convenient cable management and a PSU shroud to hide wires and dust filters in the roof, front and bottom of the case.

The Pure Base 500 also has room for up to five SSDs or two HDDs, in addition to support for GPUs up to 183mm in length, so you could pack plenty of high-end hardware in. The case also comes with two be Pure Wings 2 fans preinstalled. The be quiet! Pure Base case will be launching in September with black, grey and white options, in addition to windowed or sound-insulated versions. The black version will cost €69.90 for the non-windowed version and €79.90 for the windowed version. Grey/White versions will cost €75.90 without a window and €85.90 with a window.

Next up we have two new power supplies. The Straight Power 11 Platinum is launching in November and as the name suggests, it is an 80Plus Platinum rated version of the Straight Power 11 PSU. It will be roughly €15 more expensive than the current Straight Power 11 lineup, which seems worth it for the additional efficiency. The Straight Power 11 Platinum will be available in 550W, 650W, 750W, 850W, 1000W or 1,200W form.

The System Power 9 CM is a cheaper PSU that will only be available in Europe for the time being. This is due to the fact that it is targeted at regions with a 230V power grid. It is an entry-level PSU with semi-modular cables. You can expect to see it available in 400W, 500W, 600W and 700W options in July this year, with prices starting at €54.90.

KitGuru Says: Its always a pleasure catching up with be quiet! at these events. What do you think of the new case and power supplies?
