Nvidia releases Game Ready driver for Ghost Recon Breakpoint

Nvidia released a new GeForce Game Ready driver yesterday, version 436.48 WHQL is said to offers optimisation updates for Tom Clancys’ Ghost Recon Breakpoint which is due to release in the next few days.

Game Ready drivers provide Nvidia graphics card owners the best possible gaming experience for all major new game releases, including VR. “Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak, and bug fix is included for the best gameplay on day-1,” says Nvidia.

The main highlights of the new driver release are to provide increased performance and an optimal gaming experience for Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, though no performance figures are specified by Nvidia in the release notes.

Nvidia also listed further additions to the new driver version 436.48 which include various crash fixes and enhancements to other games, with the most noticeable fix being to Tom Clancy’s Division 2 where the game may crash when played in DirectX 12 mode.

As with every new driver, version 436.48 has some open issues, including Shadow of the Tomb Raider crashes to desktop which may occur when playing in DirectX 12 mode, FIFA19/FIFA 20 games may crash to desktop and Apex Legends may have random flickering occur on the screen. You can see all the fixes and optimisations version 436.85 offers in the release notes from Nvidia.

Nevertheless, if you are an Nvidia GeForce graphics card owner and are looking forward to playing Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint, this driver should be of interest to you. Nvidia also included updates to performance for Asgards’ Wrath which is a new VR game coming to Oculus Rift and added support for HTC’s upcoming Vive Cosmos VR headset.
