EKWB announces new aluminium GPU block for RX 5700 series

EK has announced it is releasing an interesting new product to its custom liquid cooling range, with a new water block coming for AMD Radeon RX 5700 and 5700 XT GPUs forming part of the company's Fluid Gaming lineup.

The new EK-AC Radeon RX 5700/5700XT D-RGB water block is compatible with reference design AMD Radeon RX 5700 and 5700 XT series graphics cards and is primarily constructed of aluminium, to suit budget-oriented buyers that value silence and maximum performance with enhanced reliability and longevity, according to EK.

A full cover water block directly cools the GPU, memory and VRM of the AMD Radeon 5700/5700 XT reference design cards. The base of the block is made from high-quality aluminium, while the top is an acrylic plexi-glass type material with digital addressable RGB LED lighting, sealed with EPDM rubber O rings.

The block comes equipped with an integrated digital RGB lighting solution, each individual LED is addressable and can be controlled through motherboard manufacturer RGB software such as Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light and ASRock Polychrome Sync.

EK says the EJ-AC Radeon RX 5700/5700 XT water block is designed to allow users to overlock to the maximum frequency the card will allow, with performance gains up to 20% possible depending on the workload or games being played, while offering far lower temperature and less noise than factory cooling solutions.

The EK-AC Radeon RX 5700 +XT D-RGB blocks are available for pre-order through the EK Webshop or EK Partner Reseller Network for €109.90 and will start shipping on Wednesday 23rd of October 2019.

KitGuru says: This looks like a solid new product from EK, offering users of AMD Radeon 5700 series cards an opportunity to extend current custom loops to their new Radeon 5700 GPUs at a reasonable price.
