Sucker Punch could be working on more than just Ghost of Tsushima 2

The release of Ghost of Tsushima back in 2020 put PlayStation studio Sucker Punch Productions on the map, elevating them to the upper echelon of first-party PlayStation developers. While fans eagerly await the inevitable release of Ghost of Tsushima 2, it seems as though the studio might actually have multiple projects cooking in the oven.

Taking to his YouTube channel, known industry insider Jeff Grubb offered updates on a number of fan-requested projects and rumours.

When asked whether Sucker Punch Productions are working on more than just Ghost of Tsushima 2, Grubb had this to say:

“I'm hopeful that we'll see something from Sucker Punch that is causing Ghost of Tsushima 2 to take a little bit longer than we were expecting and my hope is something with Sly Cooper. [It is] not confirmed, nothing like that, but that's speculation. But [there is] definitely smoke out there. Maybe where there's smoke there's fire. Hopefully, we'll find out.”

According to trusted journalist Jason Schreier, a Sly Cooper game is not in the works currently. That’s not to say however that Sucker Punch aren't working on multiple games at different stages of production, even if they are typically “a one-project studio”

Prior to the overwhelming success of GoT, Sucker Punch were known best for the InFamous franchise – a woefully underrated series of open world sandbox games featuring fun and unique traversal and combat mechanics – alongside an interesting karmic system. If Sucker Punch are looking to return to one of their older IPs, hopefully it’s InFamous.
