Philips announce the 439P9H 43″ SuperWide monitor

Following on from its success with the 49-inch beast, MMD, the brand license partner for Philips has announced a 43-inch curved SuperWide display in the form of the 439P9H. The new monitor adds to the growing family of ultra-wide monitors from Philips.

KitGuru got a first look at the 439P9H at IFA earlier this year. The new monitor is packed with productivity-enhancing features such as DisplayHDR 400 technology, a USB Type-C docking station, Windows Hello pop-up webcam and a MultiClient Integrated KVM switch, along with other comfort-boosting features too. Lowblue Mode ensures users eyes are protected from fatigue and EasyRead Mode offers a pleasant paper-like reading experience.

Philips suggest the 439P9H is aimed at professionals working in sectors such as finance, banking and other B2B areas with is ample 32:10 SuperWide format providing an effective viewing area of 1052mm x 329mm at 3840 x 1200 resolution. With its huge 32:10 aspect ratio, the Philips 439P9H could easily replace two separate 16:9 or 16:10 displays, saving time and space while reducing cable clutter around the workspace.

The new 43-inch SuperWide display features an 1800R curvature, designed to expand the user’s field of view and reduce distortion to provide an optimal viewing comfort, enhancing concentration. The 439P9H is equipped with MultiView technology via an integrated MultiChannel KVM switch to enable active dual connect and view, allowing multitasking with multiple devices simultaneously.

Additionally, the 439P9H features VESA-certified DisplayHDR 400 to provide excellent brightness, colour and contrast, for an enhanced viewing experience. Once users have finished working on the 439P9H, they can take advantage of the Adaptive-Sync technology to deliver smooth and tear-free gaming.

To save time during productivity workflows, the Philips 439P9H features a built-in USB Type-C docking station with power delivery. Through the USB-C connector, users can connect keyboards and mice or even an RJ-45 Ethernet cable can be plugged in directly to the displays docking station. A notebook can be connected to the monitor to provide high-resolution video, fast data transfer while being recharged at the same time.

More information regarding the Philips 439P9H can be found on the official product pages. Philips is due to make the 439P9H available to purchase sometime in November with an RRP of £879.
