Halo: Reach PC test build is being patched and current beta is extended by an extra week

Last week, Halo: Reach went live on PC for one full week, giving beta testers a chance to check out every major game mode and give the online multiplayer servers a good push. A lot of feedback was offered over the course of the week, so instead of ending the test-phase as scheduled, a patch is on the way, giving participants another week to play with a few fixes in place.

Halo: Reach PC ‘Flight Three' is now going until the 12th of November at the very least in order to give players a chance to test out the new patch once it arrives this week. The flight could be extended even further though as the developers continue to make a push for feedback and bug fixes.

There won't be any new content being added in to this build of the game, updates will purely focus on fixing as many known issues as possible. There is a new schedule for online matchmaking play-test sessions though, which will run from 10AM to 1PM PT and 5PM to 9PM PT each day. Here in the UK, that means the first online session of the day will take place at 5PM until 8PM, with the second session going live from midnight until 4AM.

KitGuru Says: I didn't end up making it into last week's flight but a friend of mine did get access, so I at least had the chance to try the campaign mission. Did many of you get into the Halo: Reach flight last week? What did you think of the game so far?

KitGuru Games: Omni-movement culminates 30 years of FPS innovation

Black Ops 6 is officially here, bringing the innovative new Omni-movement system to the game. While on the surface a relatively simple change, I argue that Treyarch intimately studied DOOM and the past 30 years of first-person shooter evolution to craft one of the most satisfying gameplay systems yet.
