EKWB announce D-RGB enabled AMD Radeon RX 5700 water blocks

D-RGB 3-pin 5v connections are now the established format for connecting RGB enabled products to motherboards. With the vast majority of manufacturers implementing this connection type in current motherboard designs, products sporting RGB lighting are either being released with 3-pin connectivity or updated to support it.

EK water blocks has already released new and updated products featuring the 3-pin 5v D-RGB connection and has now launched a new water block for AMD RX 5700 GPUs, along with an upgrade kit for current users of its EK_Vector RX 5700+ XT high-performance full-cover water block to enable 3-pin 5v connectivity. The new designs come from the growing family of EK-Quantum D-RGB enabled products.

The new EK-Quantum Vector Radeon RX 5700 +XT D-RGB water block is compatible with reference design, AMD Radeon RX 5700/5700 XT graphics cards and are an evolution of the current EK-vector Radeon RX 5700 +XT RGB water blocks, which include regular RGB lighting.

Just like its predecessor, the new EK-Quantum water blocks directly cool critical areas of the graphics card, including the GPU, memory and VRM solution, with liquid channelled over these areas through the block. EKWB offers full support for configuration of the RGB lighting in these new products via all major motherboard manufacturers RGB sync software, with 3-pin 5V RGB connectivity built-in.

In addition, EKWB has announced it will provide an addressable D-RGB upgrade kit for users of its existing EK-Vector RX 5700+ XT water blocks that includes a stick out piece, with a standard 3-pin 5V D-RGB LED strip and terminal cover. The upgrade kit will allow for quick and easy installation that provides owners of the EK-Vector water block to enjoy the benefit of the latest addressable RGB lighting in their rigs.

Both the EK-Quantum Vector Radeon RX 5700 +XT D-RGB water blocks and the upgrade kits are available to purchase from the Ek Webshop, the new water blocks will set you back €130.99 for the nickel + Plexi version, while the upgrade kit is considerably cheaper at just  €20.06.
