Light up your entire desktop with the Corsair iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strips

High-end desktop PC builds are all about the lighting these days, not only inside the system but also the ambient lighting around the desktop is becoming popular now too. Ambient lighting can be configured to sync colours with the system or peripherals and even the games you are playing.

Corsair has announced that it will launch a new range of ambient lighting strips, the iCUE LS100 Smart Lighting Strips are the first iCUE-powered ambient lighting products as part of a new ecosystem from Corsair. The Corsair iCUE LS100 ambient lighting strips extend RGB lighting beyond the PC, with colourful lighting that illuminates the entire environment around the system.

The new ambient lighting strips from Corsair are available in a range of starter kits comprising of two different sizes. The LS100 ambient lighting transforms your space with vivid customisable lighting for game and media integration with audio visualisation. Corsair iCUE software can analyse video signals and outputs from the system and match the LS100 Smart Lighting Strips colour to the surrounding area, taking action beyond the screen in games and movies.

Corsair LS100 Smart Lighting Strip starter kits include everything you need to enable immersive ambient lighting; the strips connect to the included lighting controller for simple customisation with near-unlimited lighting schemes via iCUE software. Corsair’s iCUE software unites all compatible components through a single interface, offering users full control and customisation of an entire setup.

The LS100 lighting starter kits include two 450mm strips featuring 27 LEDs each and two 250mm strips with 15 LEDs per strip. Combined, this gives you a total of 84 individually addressable RGB LEDs to play around with. Also included in the starter kit is a two-channel USB lighting controller and an external power supply, capable of lighting up to 192 RGB LEDs. The lighting strips provide a vivid array of colour, built into the casing is a diffuser that softens the light for a continuous smooth illumination.

Corsair has designed the LS100 lighting strips to be simple to install with a combination of heavy-duty magnet fastenings and an adhesive backing. The Corsair LS100 Smart Lighting Strips are available to purchase immediately, the complete starter kits are priced at £79.99. Additional 450mm and 250mm expansion packs are available separately for £34.99 and £24.99 respectively.
