Xbox’s Hi-Fi Rush officially comes to PS5

As a Japanese studio, Tango Gameworks almost certainly wanted to see Hi-Fi Rush on more platforms. Earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed plans to bring a few more of its first-party games to rival consoles, and now just as promised, Hi-Fi Rush is now officially available on PS5.

Hi-Fi Rush was a surprise hit for Xbox, launching in early 2023 immediately following the game's official announcement. The anime-inspired rhythm-based action game garnered rave reviews on Xbox and PC. Now, alongside a big update, the game is now officially available on PlayStation consoles for the first time.

The PS5 version of the game includes DualSense haptic feedback, as well as 4K/60FPS gameplay. The DualSense controller is also now supported in the PC version of the game, available via Steam and Xbox Game Pass.

There is no word on Hi-Fi Rush coming to the PlayStation Plus library, but several Bethesda-published games have been available on the service in the past, so it may end up appearing there in the future.

KitGuru Says: It will be interesting to see how well Hi-Fi Rush does on PlayStation. It has been just over a year since the game first launched, so we'll see if it has staying power to remain in conversations in 2024.
