MSI announce the Optix MAG161V portable gaming monitor

Mobile gamers looking for a larger, ultra-portable display that they can connect to smartphones, tablets and notebooks will be happy today since MSI has just launched a new product that perfectly fits these criteria.

MSI has announced the launch of a brand-new portable gaming monitor added to its Optix series. The MSI Optix MAG161V features a 0.9Kg lightweight and slim profile of just 5.1mm, allowing gamers to bring it with them while on the move. An integrated leather case provides a simple way to stand the monitor up for use while out and about and the multiple connectivity options of mini HDMI and USB Type-C offers support for all types of mobile device.

The Optix MAG161V features a Full HD, IPS grade panel to offer a dual-monitor setup that isn’t restricted to the home or office. MSI says the MAG161V is suitable for many uses such as presenting to customers on location, having fun with friends by gaming with a larger screen or for watching video to relax while on your way home from a hard day’s work.

At the moment, MSI has not provided information on whether this will be available in the UK or how much it will cost over here. However, it is available in the US priced at $250.
