Biostar adds to its M700 M.2 SSD series with a 1TB version

In recent months we have seen a noticeable decrease in price of M.2 SSD storage solutions, making them more affordable for everyday PC users as well as gamers and enthusiasts looking to take advantage of the high data transfer speeds M.2 drives provide.

Biostar has just launched a new addition to its M700 series of NVME M.2 SSDs with a high capacity 1TB version. The new M700 1TB M.2 SSD from Biostar is NVMe 1.3 compliant and uses a PCIe Gen3 x4 interface to provide gamers and content creators with up to 3 times the performance of traditional SATA III devices.

Biostar claims the M700 1TB M.2 SSD is the ideal solution to provide an advantage in productivity workloads and uninterrupted gameplay, while its small form factor and high storage capacity means this could be the only drive you need when building your next budget-friendly system. With modern PC game installations taking up over 100GB storage space, the need for bigger storage solutions is required, the Biostar M700 has this box ticked.

The M700 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD features a standard M.2 2280 form factor and is capable of high-performance transfer rates, with speeds of up to 2000MB/s sequential read and up to 1650MB/s sequential write possible. Additionally, the slim 3.5mm profile makes it ideal for small form factor systems such as SFF or laptop devices. Users of the M700 series can rest assured that data is protected since the devices include AES256 encryption along with End-to-End data protection.

The Biostar M700 PCIe Gen3 1TB M.2 NVMe is available to purchase in the US now with prices starting from $95 USD for bulk orders. UK pricing and availability is yet to be confirmed.
