The Asus ROG Phone II has updated configurations available

Asus Republic of Gamers has announced two new versions of its powerful ROG Phone II just in time for Christmas. New additions to the range include ‘Ultimate’ and ‘Strix’ Editions, both new variants of the ROG Phone II are available to purchase now.

The original Asus ROG Phone II was officially unveiled earlier this year at IFA Germany and received a good response from mobile gamers. Asus has added two new versions to the flagship range now with an Ultimate Edition and Strix Edition that push the boundaries even further to provide unrivalled power, speed and storage capacity for mobile gamers.

The new Asus ROG Phone II Ultimate Edition includes 12GB of RAM and a huge 1TB of storage capacity while the Strix Edition comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB of storage, providing powerful hardware specifications to support the latest and most demanding mobile games. Both new ROG Phones use the world’s fastest Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus processor with an overclocked frequency of 2.96GHz.

To ensure gamers have the power to keep on playing for long periods, the new additions to the ROG Phone II feature a monster 6000mAh battery and a GameCool II vapour-chamber cooling system, meaning there is no compromise on speed and performance. The ROG Phone II is equipped with a 120Hz / 1ms AMOLED HDR 10 display featuring Delat-E <1 colour accuracy and cutting-edge touch latency.

Other features of the Asus ROG phone II include the iconic side charging design with uprated AirTrigger II technology, Dual Surrounding Vibration technology and dual front-facing speakers. A 3.5mm audio jack and new quad mics with noise cancellation provides an immersive audio and touch experience to complement what’s happening on screen.

To provide the best gaming experience, the ROG Phone II can be expanded with a range of accessories including a Mobile Desktop Dock, TwinView Dock II and a Lighting Armor Case. There is also a new modular ROG Kunai Gamepad consisting of three parts – the ROG Kunai Bumper, ROG Kunai Controllers and ROG Kunai Holder which offer console-like controls.

The ASUS ROG Phone II ‘Ultimate’ and ‘Strix’ Editions are now available from ASUS online UK store. The Ultimate Edition will set you back £899.99 and the Strix version is priced at £599.99 currently.
