PowerColor announces its Red Dragon 5500 XT series

The parent company of PowerColor, TUL Corporation has announced its new AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT Red Dragon series graphics cards. The new lineup will include both 4GB and 8GB versions of the PowerColor Red Dragon RX 5500 XT GPUs.

PowerColor’s Red Dragon RX 5500 XT cards are based on AMD’s advanced RDNA 7nm architecture with high-performance GDDR6 VRAM. Features of the AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT series include better visual effect optimisations such as volumetric lighting, motion blurring and depth of field, with a multi-level cache hierarchy to reduce latency and provide a highly responsive gaming experience.

The PowerColor Red Dragon RX 5500 XT series is the ideal GPU for 1080p gaming at 60 FPS on AAA titles with over 90 FPS performance on popular Esports games. AMD’s latest Adrenalin 2020 software enhances gaming on 5500 XT series cards further through features such as Radeon Image sharpening and FidelityFX for maximum performance and immersion, while Radeon Anti-Lag offers a highly responsive gaming experience.

Both iterations of the PowerColor Red Dragon RX 5500 XT cards feature the Mute Fan technology that completely turns off the fans when the card temperature is below 60°C, for silent operation under low to medium load. The 8GB RX 5500 XT Red Dragon has a 1.5mm thick metal backplate included to protect the PCB from bending and both new cards are bundled with a free copy of Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition, as well as the Xbox Game Pass bundle.
