Studio behind ‘Deliver Us the Moon’ and ‘Deliver Us Mars’ lays off all staff

KeokeN Interactive, the studio behind recent Sci-Fi games Deliver Us the Moon and Deliver Us Mars, has had to lay off its entire staff after struggling to get funding for new projects.

Both games have positive reviews on Steam and also got an extra marketing boost from Nvidia thanks to the inclusion of RTX features. Unfortunately, it would seem that these games did not sell well enough to keep the studio afloat for its next project.

The studio made the announcement on social media this afternoon, with CEO, Koen Deetman, and Managing Director, Paul Deetman, saying:

“Heartbroken, we've had to lay off our team at KeokeN because of nothing substantial materializing directly after our visit to GDC. We’ve unfortunately exhausted all our possible options for publishing, work for hire, and co-development. It is our utmost priority to make sure our lovely team finds a new home somewhere else, so if you have any positions available in Programming, Tech Art, Porting, Level Design, Audio, Animation, Production, Office Management, contact us, so that we can introduce you to the very best people who have been at the heart of KeokeN over the past 10 years.”

The pair in charge of KeokeN do hope to ‘rebuild' the studio eventually, but there is no telling when that may happen. Given that the company was struggling to find new partnerships, it could take quite some time.

KitGuru Says: Did any of you play the Deliver Us games? I've only played Deliver Us the Moon so far, but the second game has been on my radar for a while.
