Sony confirms new free games for PS+ subscribers in June

We're nearing the end of the month, which means it is time for Sony to announce the next batch of free games for PlayStation Plus Essential subscribers. On June 4th, a new set of games will be made available for free, but if you subscribe to any of the higher PS+ tiers, you'll also be in for a few surprises.

PS+ Essential, the entry-level subscription, will offer subscribers three games to claim in June, including Streets of Rage 4, AEW Fight Forever and SponeBob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake. As part of PlayStation's annual ‘Days of Play' promotional period, EA Sports FC will also be available for free right up until the 18th of June.

Those subscribed to PS+ Premium will get a few surprise extras, including a wave of PlayStation VR2 titles to play, as well as new ‘Classic' games to download from the PS2 era. On the Classics front, PS+ Premium subscribers will get access to Tomb Raider: Legend, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus.

The free to play PS VR2 titles will be available from June 6th, including Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord, Walkabout Mini Golf, Synth Riders, Before Your Eyes and The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners.
