Moon Studios has recently released a massive patch for the Early Access version of No Rest for the Wicked. This patch not only addresses a number of performance issues but also lowers the game's PC hardware requirements, allowing more gamers to play with improved graphics without having to upgrade their hardware.
The patch promises to improve the game's performance across various GPUs and CPUs. Players can expect reduced slowdowns, faster loading times, and preloading for commonly used items to prevent performance dips during gameplay. The update also introduces time-slicing systems to increase streaming performance and addresses internal errors that could degrade performance. In addition, the patch includes improvements to microphysics items, pre-placed and dynamic opponent ragdolls, and meshes and textures. You can check the detailed patch notes HERE.
Along with the patch, Moon Studios has also released new PC system requirements. While the minimum requirements remain untouched, you'll find differences in the recommended systems specs. As a reminder, the minimum system requirements were an Intel Core i5 8400 or an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and either an Nvidia GTX 970 or an AMD Radeon RX Vega 56 to run the game at 1080p/30fps in Performance Mode.
For those aiming for 1080p/60fps in Quality Mode, you need an Intel Core i7 11700K or an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X instead of an Intel Core i5-12600K or a Ryzen 7 5800X3D. As for the GPU, in place of an Nvidia RTX 3070Ti or an AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT, the developer claims an Nvidia RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600XT are enough. Both minimum and recommended state you'll need 16GB of RAM and 35GB of SSD storage.
