Resident Evil: Resistance open beta pulled from PS4 and Steam due to matchmaking issues

The open beta for Resident Evil: Resistance was due to eat up some of our time this weekend but unfortunately, some unforeseen technical issues have been discovered and as a result, Capcom has pulled the beta from download and postponing it.

Resident Evil 3 Remake comes out in just a few days time, complete with a re-made single-player campaign and a brand new multiplayer mode called ‘Resistance'. On Steam and PS4, the beta for this multiplayer mode was due to kick off yesterday but players quickly found themselves unable to find a match due to some kind of technical problem.

The Xbox One version of the beta is currently unaffected, so if you have an Xbox, you can continue to play. Those on Steam and PS4 though will not be able to access the beta. Currently, Capcom is “working to resolve the issue as soon as we can” but no particular time has been revealed just yet.

Resident Evil 3 Remake releases on April 3rd, we do not know if the launch will be impacted by the current technical issues affected Project Resistance.

KitGuru Says: I was hoping to give this a go later this evening but it looks like that will have to wait. Hopefully whatever the matchmaking issue is, it can be solved in time for launch in a few days time.
