Gigabyte’s GeForce GTX 1650s could get GDDR6 memory

Back in February, MSI listed multiple GeForce GTX 1650 GPUs with GDDR6 memory with the EEC. Now, Gigabyte GTX 1650 graphics card also using GDDR6 memory have popped up from the German retailer PC Service Point, suggesting that a GeForce GTX 1650 refresh might be coming soon.

As initially noted by @momomo_us, Gigabyte has two GeForce GTX 1650 with GDDR6 listed on PC Service Point – the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 D6 OC and the Gigabyte GTX1650 D6 Windforce OC. Although there's a GTX 1650 Ti GPU for mobile platforms, this revised GTX 1650 doesn't seem to be considered a GTX 1650 Ti for desktop, based on the product name.

Differences between the GDDR5 and GDDR6 models don't seem to stand out too much. Besides the “D6” in the name and the little differences in the cooler shroud, but there's also the product packaging stating that the GPU uses GDDR6 memory.

On the other hand, core frequency differences are more noticeable. The reference GTX 1650 with GDDR6 memory has a core frequency of 1590MHz, while the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 D6 OC comes with a core clock of 1635MHz, and the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650 D6 Windforce OC comes clocked at 1710MHz.

Unfortunately, it's not clear what speed the memory will run at, or whether the GPU will be the same as the GeForce GTX 1650 (TU117-300). According to cnews.cz, Gigabyte listings on the official website contradict themselves, showing that the card's memory comes clocked at both 12Gbps and 8Gbps. Once it has been released, we will know for sure.

As per the listings in PC Service Point, the Gigabyte GTX1650 D6 OC will be priced at €185.99, and the Gigabyte GTX1650 D6 Windforce OC will be priced at €192.99.
