Genesis releases new low profile Thor 420 mechanical keyboard

Genesis is set to launch its new flagship mechanical keyboard, dubbed Thor 420. This new low profile mechanical keyboard features RGB LED illumination, low profile blue switches, as well as software for profile and macro customisation.

Using a low profile aluminium casing and blue switches with a lifespan of 50 million clicks, the Thor 420 is a durable “low-cost” keyboard. According to Genesis, the audible and tactile feedback, 1.2mm actuation point and 45g actuation force of theses blue switches makes this keyboard “great not only for games, but also working with documents”.

The Thor 420 function keys are arranged through F1-12, and there's a Windows key lock feature to prevent accidental minimisation of the game. This keyboard also uses N-Key rollover, to allow the user to press multiple keys and register all the presses.

Measuring 418x113x24mm (LxWxH), the Thor 420 comes with a total of 104 keys, with 12 multimedia keys positioned on the Function buttons. It also sports a 1.65m USB Type-A cable, as well as rubber anti-slip feet for increased stability. RGB illumination, macros and profiles can be configured through the keyboard's software. Genesis also says the RGB illumination features the ‘PRISMO effect and 22 work modes' for the user to choose from.

Genesis Thor 420 RGB mechanical keyboard will be available this month, priced at €78. If you want to learn more, click HERE.
