EK Water Blocks launch the Obsidian 1000D distribution plate

Over the last few weeks, EK Water blocks has been launching its new series of EK-Quantum Reflection distribution plates for PC cases from various manufacturers. The latest EK-Quantum Reflection Obsidian 1000D D5 PWM D-RGB is a new distro plate designed specifically for the Corsair Obsidian 1000D Super-Tower case.

In terms of size, the EK-Quantum Reflection Obsidian 1000D D5 PWM D-RGB distribution plate designed for the Corsair Obsidian 1000D is an absolute monster and it weighs in at a whopping 5.3 Kg. However, due to the two integrated genuine D5 pumps, it offers a high flow and silent operation and brings the slim line EK-Quantum stylish appearance to the front of the Obsidian 1000D.

This new distro block offers users of the 1000D an all-in-one solution that includes pumps, a reservoir and a simple mounting solution to make building a custom cooling loop inside the super-tower chassis easier. The EK-Quantum Reflection Obsidian 1000D D5 PWM D-RGB features multiple G1/4” inlet and outlet ports that are aligned to match EK cooling components so users can create a loop with less tricky bends to make in the tubing.

The distribution block is mounted inside the Corsair Obsidian 1000D at the front of the case and takes up both front radiator mounting positions. It comes with metal brackets to install the distro plate on the 1000D’s telescopic radiator tray, once installed inside the system the distro plate leaves room for two 480mm radiators to be installed at the top of the case.

In typical EK-Quantum fashion, the Reflection Obsidian 1000D distro plate is equipped with D-RGB LED strips that run the entire length of the unit and illuminate the front of the front of the case. RGB lighting connects directly to motherboards via a standard 5V addressable RGB header and is compatible with all major motherboard vendors RGB software such as Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light Sync and ASRock Polychrome Sync.
