VIVIFY launch an RGB HDMI cable

RGB lighting is implemented into almost everything enthusiast PC related these days, we have motherboards, cases, graphics cards, fans and peripherals all sporting the RGB illumination. But what else could manufacturers possibly think of to equip with RGB lighting?

The answer to that question is an HDMI cable of course and that is exactly what premium fibre optic cable provider VIVIFY has announced this week. The company is launching the PC edition VIVIFY ARQUUS W73ø, which is a fibre optic HDMI cable with Vnode software to control and mix the cables integrated lighting effects.

VIVIFY’s RGB HDMI cable is available in 2.7m lengths, with HDMI 2.0b DPL Labs 4K certification and is compatible with Razer Chroma. The backwards compatibility of HDMI 2.0b means the VIVIFY ARQUUS W73ø RGB HDMI cable can be used with a wide range of devices and supports true 4K 4096×2160 resolution and up to 60 Hz refresh rate, making it perfect for PC and console gamers to add some RGB bling to their rig.

“We're thrilled to have VIVIFY join the Razer Chroma Connect program. The vibrant RGB lighting on the ARQUUS W73ø can now sync with all your Razer Chroma enabled devices and even dynamically react with games for a truly immersive gaming experience,” said Kushal Tandon, Director of Software Marketing and Business Development.

Vnode is a new RGB application from VIVIFY set to unleash lighting customisation options, with everything from single colours to dynamic effect options being available. There are up to eight customisable lighting effects and a wide spectrum of colour for users to choose from, allowing the HDMI cable to fit perfectly with the user’s style. Built-in LEDs are located on either end of the cable and pass through a diffuser.

The ARQUUS W73ø RGB HDMI cable is available to pre-order directly from VIVIFY, priced at $99.99 USD.
