Kioxia has announced its new consumer product portfolio

In mid-2019 it was announced that Toshiba was planning to rebrand itself as “Kioxia”, and in October last year the change became official. Now the company has announced the launch of ‘KIOXIA' branded consumer products, including “microSD/SD memory cards, USB memory and SSDs”.

Kioxia branded products have already hit the business-to-business market, but up until now the consumer market has still been receiving Toshiba-branded products. Kioxia has now announced that it will launch consumer products under its new name in April 2020, bringing a “completely new look and feel“.

The new portfolio will include “microSD/SD memory cards, USB memory and SSDs”. Even though the products are released under a new brand name, Kioxia emphasises that it plans to retain the same “excellent quality, performance and reliability standards, that consumers are used to expect from the formerly known Toshiba Memory product line-up”.

There's also a wide range of colour options, including “light blue, magenta, yellow, light grey, light green and orange”. Kioxia says that the aim is to make itself “highly recognizable and easier than ever for customers to select the right products for their unique applications.”
