ASRock announce a new RX 5500 XT for small form factors

ASRock has launched a new graphics cards designed for small form factor systems this week, the Radeon RX 5500 XT Challenger ITX 8G is based on the current AMD 7nm RDNA architecture and offers a new entry-level card for systems with a small footprint.

The Radeon RX 5500 XT series is designed to be an affordable solution for gamers who want steady FPS at 1080p and already includes a wide range of full-size cards from various manufacturers in the series. The challenge for all ITX based systems is space inside the chassis for powerful graphics cards, the new RX 5500 XT Challenger ITX 8G from ASRock should help overcome this problem.

Just like its full-size companions, the ASRock RX 5500 XT Challenger ITX 8G can deliver the power for 1080p gaming with high fidelity and up to 60 FPS in AAA titles. Competitive esports gamers can expect even higher frame rates from the 5500 XT series, with the RX 5500 XT Challenger ITX 8G, this performance is now available in a compact solution for small form factor gaming rigs.

Featuring 8 GB of GDDR6 high-speed memory and PCI Express 4.0 support, the Radeon RX 5500 XT Challenger ITX 8G offers great gaming performance and high power efficiency at an affordable price. The new card is capable of base/game and boost GPU clock speeds of 1607/1717/1845 MHz, while supporting all the features of the larger cards, such as Radeon Image Sharpening, FidelityFX, Radeon Anti-Lag and Radeon FreeSync technologies.

In terms of connectivity, the Radeon RX 5500 XT Challenger ITX 8G is equipped with three DisplayPort and a single HDMI port connection. It measures 190 x 139 x 42 mm (with bracket) and features a black and white shroud with a single 100mm fan for cooling. Availability of the Radeon RX 5500 XT Challenger ITX 8G is still to be announced.
