Earlier this week, rumours around Crysis Remastered returned to the spotlight thanks to a teaser posted to the franchise's official Twitter account. Now just a few days later, a leak from the official Crysis website has confirmed the game's existence and how it will take advantage of the latest graphical advancements present in CryEngine today.
Twitter user ‘@RobotBrush‘ was the first to notice the leak in the metadata for the Crysis website. The leak has brought along the first promo images of the game, confirmation of PC/console support and other details.
The official tagline that Crytek plans to use for the announcement is: “From the makers of Far Cry, Hunt: Showdown and CRYENGINE, Crysis offers first person shooter fans the best-looking, evolved, and innovative gameplay, enabling players to adapt in real time to survive. Crysis Remastered brings new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE's native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and – for the very first time – Nintendo Switch.”
So we can expect Crysis Remastered to show up on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch later this year. Given the leak, we can expect an official unveiling and perhaps an announcement trailer from Crytek very soon.
KitGuru Says: Crysis Remastered appears to be official at this point. Hopefully we can get a good look at it soon. Are you looking forward to the remaster?
