Assassin’s Creed Valhalla announced, cinematic trailer released

Following on from a lengthy teaser stream yesterday, Assassin's Creed Valhalla has been officially announced. Just as previous rumours predicted, the next mainline game in the franchise will focus on vikings.

There have been teasers discovered in some of Ubisoft's own games indicating that this would be the next step for Assassin's Creed. According to Ubisoft, 15 studios pitched in on this game, with Ubisoft Montreal being joined by 14 co-development studios. So a huge amount of people poured their hard work and time into this game.

The key art and title have now been revealed but not much else is known regarding story or gameplay. However, that should change in just a few hours time, as the first trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be going live at 4PM BST. We will be updating this post with the trailer as soon as it goes live.

Update: The cinematic trailer for Assassin's Creed Valhalla is now live. You can watch it below:

KitGuru Says: Judging by the art, we will be venturing from the cold north to the grassier plains of Europe as part of a viking invasion. We should know more about all of that once the trailer drops though. Are any of you looking forward to the next Assassin's Creed?
