Close To The Sun launches later today on Steam and GOG

Wired Productions and game developer Storm in a Teacup have announced that Close To The Sun will be coming to both Steam and GOG, later today. There will be two editions available: a standard and a deluxe edition.

Close To The Sun is a video game powered by Unreal Engine 4. The video game is set in an alternative 19th century, where Nikola Tesla built a gigantic ship called Helios. The focus of this vessel was to create a place specifically for scientific research which was isolated from the rest of society, allowing the scientists to “push the boundaries of matter and time”.

The protagonist of this game is a journalist called Rose Archer, who's searching for her younger sister Ada. As she boards Helios, Rose encounters an empty grand hall that smells of rotting flesh and has the word “QUARANTINE” written in blood. Players can explore the ship as Rose, trying to uncover its secrets and solving puzzles along the way.

Leo Zullo, managing director at Wired Productions, stated that this game “contains all the ingredients that afficionados of horror games crave”. There will be a digital deluxe edition that includes $10 of additional content, which includes the game's soundtrack and a digital artbook.

The game is already available for the PC platform through Epic Games Store, and for the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PS4. Close to the Sun will be available later today on Steam and GOG. The price at launch for the standard edition will include a 25% discount, reducing it to £11.99/€14.90/$14.90 at both digital stores. Additionally, the digital deluxe edition will be available for £19.99/€24.99/$24.99. You can learn more about the game HERE.
