Dell is set to bolster its UltraSharp range of monitors with two new models. Although they have not been officially announced yet, the user guide for both the U2421HE and U2721DE models lets us know what we can expect from these upcoming screens.
Both monitors share some specifications, including a response time of 8ms G2G (5ms G2G in fast mode), a refresh rate of 60Hz, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, 178º/178º viewing angles and a colour depth of 16.7m. Additionally, both monitors cover 99% of the sRGB colour gamut, 99% of the REC709 colour gamut, and 85% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, and come factory-calibrated with a deltaE < 2.
According to the user guide (via TFTCentral), the 24-inch U2421HE uses a FullHD (1920x1080p) IPS panel with a typical brightness of 250cd/m², while the 27-inch U2721DE uses a QHD (2560x1440p) IPS panel with a typical brightness of 350d/m².

Both screens also offer the same level of adjustments, with tilt (-5° to 21°), height (0 to 130mm), swivel (-40° to 40°) and rotation adjustments. Additionally, they have the same connectivity options, including 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (in), 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (out), 1x HDMI 1.4 port, 1x 3.5mm audio jack, 4x USB 3.0 Type-A ports (2x with charging capabilities on the side), 1x RJ45 port, and 1x USB 3.1 Type-C port. These monitors are also compatible with DDM (Dell Display Manager) supporting “Easy Arrange and other key features”.
