Asus lists five AMD A520 chipset motherboards

AMD has already launched the X570 and B550 chipsets to be paired with Ryzen 3000 processors, but there' still no official word on the entry-level A520 chipset. Despite that, Asus has listed five new motherboards using the unannounced chipset.

From the five listed motherboards, three are from Asus' Prime series, while the other two belong to the TUF Gaming series. These three Asus Prime motherboards are the Prime A520M-A, the Prime A520M-E, and the Prime A520M-K. The two TUF Gaming motherboards are the TUF Gaming A520M-A, and the TUF Gaming A520M-Plus.

As per the listings, all these motherboards use the mATX form factor, and being from the Prime and TUF series, it's fair to say these are entry-level motherboards. We don't yet know if there will be any ROG A520 boards, but it's probably unlikely.

According to HD-Technologia, these new motherboards would make a good match with the recently launched budget-oriented Ryzen 3 3000 processors. Priced at $99 and $119, both the Ryzen 3 3100 and the 3300X performed well in our testing and it's likely they would pair well with one of these motherboards.

There's still no information on pricing or availability yet, but we expect that A520 will launch before Ryzen 4000 desktop processors, most likely during the summer. Pricing should come in lower than the B550 motherboards.
