Overclocked i9-10900K scores over 3000 points in Cinebench R15

Although the review embargo for the Comet Lake-S processors is set for May 20th, benchmark results have already made their way onto the Internet. The latest leaked result reportedly shows an overclocked Core i9-10900K clocked at 5.4GHz, scoring over 3000 points in Cinebench R15.

Besides the Intel Core i9-10900K, the system used for this benchmark used an ASRock Z490 Phantom Gaming motherboard and 16GB of DDR4 memory from G.Skill, clocked at 3200MHz with CL14-14-14-34 timings. The CPU voltage was set to 1.35V.

The Core i9-10900K is a 14nm 10C/20T processor, with a TDP of 125W and a base clock of 3.7GHz, but it can achieve 4.9GHz on all cores through Thermal Velocity Boost. This one in particular was overclocked, allegedly reaching 5.4GHz with a max temperature of 62ºC.

According to Videocardz's images, the overclocked Core i9 scored 3002 points, a 36% improvement over the CPU's stock score of 2347. In comparison, an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, which is an 8C/16T processor, scores around 2200 points, and a Ryzen 9 3900X, a 12C/24T processor, achieves about 3200 points.

The Intel 10th Gen desktop processors are expected to release later this month. You can read more on the upcoming processors HERE, while Z490 motherboards are now available for pre-order.
