AOC brings five new 240Hz monitors to G2 lineup

The AOC G2 series of gaming monitors is getting a big expansion this week, with five new 240Hz displays coming in to suit all tastes. These ultra-fast and responsive gaming monitors deliver peak performance for competitive gaming, with both curved and flat screen options.

As you would expect, these monitors are built with esports in mind. You get a Full HD resolution, 240Hz refresh rate and just 0.5ms response time, although if you opt for the larger 31.5-inch option, it will be 1ms response time. Other features like FreeSync and Low Framerate Compensation aid in providing a constantly smooth image.

If you are after a curved gaming monitor, then you will want to be looking at the C27G2ZU, C27G2ZE and the C32G2ZE. All three are equipped with with VA panels and offer a wide 178° viewing angle, a contrast ratio of 3000:1 and 120% sRGB colour gamut coverage, 89% Adobe RGB coverage and 85% NTSC.

There are two flat-screen 24-inch monitors in the lineup too, the 24G2ZU and the 24G2ZE, which come with TN panels instead to ensure the quickest response times. You can see each model listed with an MSRP in the table below:

C32G2ZE £ 329
C27G2ZU/BK £ 299
C27G2ZE/BK £ 279
24G2ZU/BK £ 289
24G2ZE/BK £ 269

All models come with AOC's usual 3-side borderless display design, for a sleek look and easy pairing for multi-monitor setups. The C27G2ZU is going to be available starting this month, while the cheaper C27G2E is coming in June. The remaining three monitors on the list are all due to hit retail in July 2020.
