MSI is expanding its extensive portfolio of gaming monitors with the new Optix G27C5. This display was designed to deliver an immersive gaming experience thanks to its high refresh rate, screen curvature and borderless frame.
The curved (1500R) Samsung VA panel used for the Optix G27C5 comes with a Full HD resolution, 178°/178° viewing angles, 165Hz refresh rate, and a rated response time of 1ms MPRT. This monitor covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 113% of the sRGB colour spectrum, while also boasting a contrast ratio of 3000:1, 250 nits of typical brightness and 16.7M colour depth.
This monitor support AMD FreeSync to avoid screen tearing and is equipped with Anti-Flicker technology and Blue Light Reduction to reduce eye fatigue.
Connectivity options include 1x DisplayPort 1.2 (outputting up to 165Hz), 2x HDMI 1.4 ports (outputting up to 144Hz), and 1x 3.5mm audio-out jack. The monitor's OSD is controlled through a 5-way joystick navigator on the back of the frame. Ergonomic adjustments are quite limited, as the screen is only capable of tilting from -5º to 20º, but it has support for 100×100 VESA mounting if you wish to install an aftermarket stand.
