Three new Ryzen processors, including an 8-core desktop APU, spotted online

Two new Ryzen mobile processors have been spotted on 3DMark, while a separate Ryzen desktop processor with integrated graphics was found in the Ashes of the Singularity database, potentially giving us a glimpse of AMD's “Renoir” APU for the desktop platform.

Discovered by TUM_APISAK, both the Ryzen 9 4900U and the Ryzen 7 Extreme Edition seem very similar, if they're not actually the same processor. Both have a base clock speed of 1.8GHz and a boost clock speed of 4.3GHz, in a 8C/16T package with a 15W TDP. Compared to AMD's top of the line low-power chip, the Ryzen 7 4800U, the only difference appears to be an extra 0.1GHz for the boost clock.

Interestingly enough, the term “Extreme Edition” has never been used by AMD. In fact, it's a known term for Intel high-end CPUs. This might mean that AMD will keep adapting its nomenclature to rival Intel.

Regarding the 4700G posted on the AotS website, discovered by _rogame, this features an 8C/16T configuration and integrated Radeon graphics. No TDP rating is visible, but given it is a desktop processor it should have a 35W TDP design at least, though a 65W TDP design is more likely.

Additionally, a UserBenchmark entry showing an engineering sample of an AMD CPU code named 100-000000149-40_40/30_Y on a desktop platform has also been spotted by TUM_APISAK. This as-yet unknown CPU reports a base clock of 3.00GHz and a boost clock of 4.00GHz, and it's believed to be the Ryzen 7 4700G. Looking at the Renoir chips already available, we can expect higher clocks from the desktop models than the speeds achieved on the mobile platform.

None of this information is official, and since there has already been a previous UserBenchmark entry of a Ryzen 7 4700G that was confirmed to be fake, as always do take these benchmarks with a grain of salt.

KitGuru says: Are you hoping that any of these AMD processors might be officially announced? Would you prefer that AMD offer an iGPU option on its desktop processors?
