Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is coming to GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was a mini phenomenon when the Netflix show released a couple years ago, bringing in a whole new audience to the world of Night City while also drawing old players back in. One of the show’s main protagonists, Lucy, is interestingly making her debut into the medium of video games – marking the first guest character ever for the Guilty Gear fighting game franchise.

Announced during the final day of EVO, CD Projekt Red – and Guilty Gear developers Arc System Works – “proudly announce[d] a joint collaboration which will bring Lucy from the award-winning anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners to the acclaimed fighting game GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- as the franchise’s first-ever guest character.”

Set to arrive in 2025 as the final character in Strive’s 4th Season pass, it is interesting to see not only that Lucy’s first appearance will be in a game other than Cyberpunk 2077, but that she will also be the first guest character ever in the 25+ year history of Guilty Gear.

Little is known about the character or how she will play, but regardless, it is exciting for both fans of Cyberpunk and Guilty Gear that Lucy will make her gaming debut next year.
