Pricing for PlayStation’s Concord has leaked

Announced around this time last year with an incredibly vague teaser trailer, Sony’s multiplayer live-service first person shooter ‘Concord’ finally had its proper official introduction during last week’s State of Play. That said, we still know next to nothing about the game’s monetisation – aside from Sony saying the title can be ‘pre-ordered’ this month. Thanks to a leak from PlayStation themselves, we might have Concord’s concrete pricing.

As discovered by ResetEra user ‘–R’ the Australian PlayStation Store seems to have accidentally leaked the pricing for Concord, asking $60 AUD for the standard edition and $95 for the Digital Deluxe edition.

While this may initially sound scary, game prices in Australia have always been rather high, and so in doing some conversions and comparing it to Sony’s own Helldivers II from earlier this year, it seems as though the upcoming game will cost $40 USD for the standard version (£34.99) – the same as Helldivers II.

Discourse surrounding Concord appears a great deal less positive when compared to Helldivers II, however the latter only saw its popularity boom after its release – so we will have to wait and see what players think when the game launches in August.
