Over half a dozen new Fortnite game modes have leaked

What was once a relatively humble participant in the battle royale genre has ballooned into one of the biggest games in the world, with Fortnite expanding outwards into all different types of games. According to one leaker, Epic Games has 9 new and different game modes currently in the works.

According to the ‘Egyptian Fortnite Leaker’ on Twitter, Epic Games is currently working on at least 9 different game modes across Fortnite’s platform of games.

The full list of leaked modes can be found HERE, however some of the most interesting include Codename ‘Feral – a 5v5 Core mode with ranked play – and Codename ‘Sprout’ which is said to be a “Lego Gamemode based on jobs. You can be an auditor, an accountant, and more.”

Perhaps the most curious work-in-progress game mode is Codename ‘Arnold', which has been described as an open-world mode which is “supposed to have its own lobby.”

Unfortunately, it seems Arnold may never come to fruition as despite being in the works for over 2 years, it has reportedly not received any internal updates in over 6 months.

Given just how popular Fortnite continues to be, Epic Games can afford to experiment with and release a ton of different and unique game modes without the risk of splitting the userbase. It will be interesting to see exactly what these codenamed modes wind up being.
