Deepcool introduces the GAMMAXX 400 EX dual-fan cooler

Deepcool has added a new CPU cooler to its budget-oriented GAMMAXX series. The new dual-fan GAMMAXX 400 EX is an upgraded version of the original GAMMAXX 400, offering improved performance and an aesthetic overhaul compared to the original model.

While still a compact air tower cooler like its predecessor, the GAMMAXX 400 EX features a number of changes to the design. For instance, the 400 EX comes with two TF120 ‘high performance' PWM fans that use a hydro bearing, while each spins at 500~1500 RPM±10% and can generate up to 52 CFM of airflow without exceeding 27.6dB of noise.

Additionally, total surface area has increased by 20% compared to the original 400, with the new heatsink sporting 56 aluminium fins. The base plate uses Core Touch Technology “to dissipate heat more efficiently”, and it transfers heat via 4x ‘sintered copper heat pipes'. The top of the heatsink is also covered with a black shroud, giving a “unique appeal” to the system.

Measuring 129×103×157.5mm (L×W×H), the GAMMAXX 400 EX should be fine to install in most cases. Socket support includes Intel's LGA 1151, 1150, 1155, and 1366 platforms – alongside AMD's AM4, AM3+, AM3, AM2+, AM2, FM2+, FM2, and FM1 sockets. Deepcool also claims it has revamped the ‘mounting tools' to provide ‘a whole new installation experience.'
